Orlando O’Shea’s Pride Art Opening Fundraiser Happens December 7 at Brew
I am thrilled to announce my very first art show, which will also be a fundraising effort for a cause close to my heart. This is a truly meaningful milestone for me, especially after a year filled with profound challenges and health struggles. Creating this collection has been a deeply therapeutic journey, allowing me to channel my experiences into art that resonates with resilience, strength, and hope. It would mean so much to have my friends and community join me to celebrate this day together.
This gathering also arrives at a crucial time for the LGBTQ+ community, especially for our trans family, as we face uncertainties and fears following recent events. Now, more than ever, it’s vital for us to rise up, come together, and support each other. I am inspired by the work of the Sage Casey Foundation, an organization dedicated to suicide prevention and support for LGBTQ+ youth. I am honored to donate 60% of all proceeds from my art sales to this foundation and its essential mission. For those who feel moved to contribute, there will also be an optional opportunity to donate directly.
It will be a lively evening with lots of entertainment (Musicians, Drag, Belly Dance, and Burlesque). Social hour will be between 4 and 5 PM and performances will start at 5 PM.
Note: Families with children are welcome between 4 PM and 5:30 PM; after that, entertainment will be geared toward adults.
I invite you to come and experience my Rise Up Collection, which speaks to resilience and the power of community. It will be an evening filled with joy, art, and celebration. I hope to see you there.
