Food For Thought Events Begin In August
For many, August calls to mind vacations, cookouts, and finding ways to beat the heat. At Food For Thought, it also means the garden is bursting and celebrating eight great years of Food For Thought Antiques, and preparing for big events down the road. This month may signal the close of summer, but excitement is right around the corner, including informative workshops with attorney Naomi Metz, the 15th annual Calabash, and the always-popular Sister’s Bingo.
August Marks 8 Great Years Of Food For Thought Antiques!
Each weekend in August will feature BBQ tastings and fun card games with customers, with prizes including store discounts, fine chocolate, and more.
The month’s festivities will go out with a bang with store-wide sales on August 29-30. All proceeds from Food For Thought Antiques benefit Food For Thought’s programs and services.
Thank You Sonoma Wine Country Weekend!
Food For Thought recently received a generous grant from the Sonoma Wine Country Weekend, a Labor Day weekend event that brings together some of Sonoma County’s top winemakers, growers, and chefs.
Funds from Sonoma Wine Country Weekend have been crucial in supporting their mission. You can help Food For Thought and other organizations like it by buying a ticket and savor the best wine and food the county has to offer!
Come See What’s Blooming!
Now is the perfect time to check out the FFT garden. Sunflowers, zinnias, cosmos, and violets are in full bloom, and the vegetable garden is bursting.
The organic fruits and vegetables grown in the garden help make the free, congregate lunch possible. Along with our bounty of beautiful flowers, they provide their clients, volunteers, staff, and friends with an important connection to nature. Now is the opportune time to swing by and see what’s in season.
